My
first adventure was the beloved Costa Rica, a land of endless beach breaks,
friendly humble people and warm water to boot. Coast Rica has many things
to offer the soul searcher and the general tourist. Once outside of San
Jose, a city offering many modernized pleasures, an explorer can search
out the isolated rugged terrain of the Pacific coast.

From
the world renown Boca Barranca, a 400 yard left river mouth, to Witch's
Rock, a one hour semi-uncharted trek through a national forest, there is
something to be found for surfers at all levels in every travel capacity.
|
A
foreigner can camp right on the beach for free or find a modest hotel for
dollars a day. A smiling sunrise in the east meets each eager surfer on
the beach and offers a warm magic throughout the day ending with magnificent
sunsets teasing the non-local who is anxiously waiting for the next
day.

Costa
Rica is safe for females who are aware of their environment enough to be
smart and conscience. Meals consist of rice and beans, meat, seafood and
fried bananas along with plenty of bottled drinks. Travel to Costa Rica
and renting a car are the components of the trip that takes a little planning
and savings otherwise it is a cheap opportunity. |
